AWS re:Invent is a learning conference hosted by AWS for the global cloud computing community. The in-person event features keynote announcements, training and certification opportunities, access to 1,500+ technical sessions, the Expo, after-hours events, and so much more.

Confluent was a Gold Sponsor of AWS’s flagship developer conference, AWS reInvent 2020. This activation occurred during the 2020 coronavirus pandemic and, as such, was held virtually. As part of the our presence at the event we designed and staffed a virtual booth which featured a live demo room, live Q&A, and a chat module. In order to make the event feel more approachable, we also created a welcome video for the booth which you can see in this portfolio. In addition, we contributed two speaking sessions to the official conference agenda and promoted that thought leadership on social!

In 2020 Segment launched a multi-channel brand campaign aimed at targeting the antiquated and legacy CRM businesses. Part of this campaign was an ad-buy in the Wall Street Journal featuring a pledge to “platform independence” led by Segment CEO. Peter Reinhardt and co-signed by a number of Segment’s partners. In addition to the landing page and ad-buy, Segment hosted a hybrid live event which was simulcasted over zoom and hosted at the newly reopened 906 World venue.

On Sept 25th & 26th of 2019, Segment hosted 1,000 fellow engineers, analysts, product leaders, and growth marketers at Synapse to learn how to unlock the full power of customer data. During the conference attendees learned how to tap into the knowledge of our expert speakers and received actionable advice on building a scalable data infrastructure, advice on modernizing their tech stack, tips on using data to unlock growth opportunities, and more.

Segment Summit 2019 was the 3rd annual meeting of the Segment Go-To-Market team. This event involved an all-day conference followed by an event reception and awards ceremony.

Synapse 2018 was a one-day event designed to help engineers, product leaders, and growth marketers harness the full power of their customer data. The event brought together forward-thinking individuals from around the globe to discuss key trends touching all things data. From data quality to compliance to activation, this event covered everything!

Segment Summit 2018 was the 2nd annual meeting of the Segment Go-To-Market team. This event involved an all-day conference followed by an event reception and awards ceremony.

This was Segment’s first attempt at a user conference and one of the highlights of my career. This kicked off the Synapse brand and established Segment as a leader in the customer data world. So many wonderful accomplishments spawned from this event, not the least of which was the pride in knowing we could host an event at this scale.

This was a series of field marketing events I managed which, for the first time, brought our brand and stellar content to audiences outside fo the US. This project involved coordinating venues, catering, AV support, and branding for each activation.

TWC sponsored LA Pride and as such, I coordinated employees to march in the parade, designed a float converted from one of our old tech vans, and hired drag queens to emcee as we parade down Santa Monica Blvd.
